What Quarterly Billing Is Actually Good For

Not every objection to a pricing model is a fair one. Splitting a year into four charges genuinely helps some businesses, particularly ones whose revenue arrives in bursts, and a vendor offering that option is doing something reasonable rather than something sly. Swyft Filings publishes its billing period. Nobody is being tricked.

The Unit Is a Quarter

Still, the number that gets remembered is $149, and $149 is what Swyft charges every three months for agent service.

Annualized, that is roughly $596 for a year of the same coverage other providers quote annually, with no first-year reduction that our July 2026 look could find. The difficulty is purely one of comparison. A $149 tile beside a $125 tile beside a $99 tile reads as a close race until you notice that one of the three is measured on a different clock. Put all of them on a yearly basis and the race is not close.

Oregon Runs on One Date a Year

The state's own rhythm is worth holding up next to a quarterly one, because it is about as far from quarterly as a compliance calendar gets.

An Oregon LLC files one report a year. It is due on the anniversary of the day the company was formed, meaning your specific date, not a quarter and not a month-end. Domestic companies pay $100 for it. The state opens the filing window about 45 days early and expects the information you submit to be accurate as of 30 days before the anniversary.

And the change of registered agent, the filing this page is quietly building toward, costs nothing at all. Oregon's Business Registry fee schedule prints $0.00 in the fee column beside it, and the paper version of the form carries a "No Processing Fee" stamp in case one source was not enough. So the state's entire annual relationship with your LLC is one dated obligation at $100, plus a free correction available whenever you want it.

Four invoices for the agent, one date for the state. The mismatch is the whole argument.
