Their formation packages carry twelve months of registered agent service at no charge, and that is exactly what it sounds like. A genuine zero, arriving in the months when a new LLC is spending on everything at once. There is no asterisk to hunt for and we are not going to manufacture one.

Year Two Is Not Written Down Anywhere We Looked

A July 2026 sweep of everything Inc Authority publishes, front page through package tiers through the frequently asked questions, produced no renewal figure. So we cannot quote it, will not estimate it, and are not going to characterize a price we have never seen. What we can do is note the absence.

The absence matters because Oregon requires a registered agent for as long as your LLC is on the register. Year one being free does not make this a one-time purchase; it makes it a recurring one whose price you learn after you have committed. That is a sequencing objection, not a size objection. The eventual number might be perfectly fair. It was still unavailable at the moment you were choosing.

Oregon Publishes Even the Unpleasant Parts

The contrast that makes this page worth writing is not about money. It is about what an institution is willing to put in front of you.

Oregon does not merely publish its fees. It publishes its consequences. The annual report is $100 a year for a domestic LLC, due on your formation anniversary. There is no late fee, which sounds lenient and is not. What the state does instead is spelled out: a company that does not file is subject to administrative dissolution under ORS 63.647, with a reinstatement route available afterward for anyone who catches up.

The state also tells you in advance that its own courtesy is not a safety net. A renewal notice goes into the mail roughly 45 days ahead of your date, and Oregon is explicit that failing to receive it does not relieve you of the duty to file. That is an unusually honest thing for an agency to print. It amounts to saying: we will try to warn you, the warning is not a guarantee, and the deadline stands either way.

The document is the Information Change (Corporation/Limited Liability Company), submitted to the Secretary of State's Corporation Division. Oregon assigns no number to it, only a revision date, and you can send it on paper, by fax, or through the state's online Business Registry. The fee is $0.00.

It asks for your entity name and Oregon registry number, the incoming agent, and a registered office located at an Oregon street address, which must be the same place that agent keeps its own business office.
